CALL US FOR EXPERT TECHNICAL ADVICE

Our dedicated tech support line is ready to help you anytime you're on the road, ensuring you stay connected and worry-free.

  • What is the typical battery life?
Our LFP lithium batteries have a lifespan of up to 10 years if they are well looked after.
  • How long will the unit run for?
This depends on the capacity of the battery solution, the conditions in which the unit is operated, the insulation of the truck and the size of the space it is trying to cool. On average the 5 kWh Lithium battery will run for 8 to 10 hours and the 6 kwh Lithium battery will run from 10 to 12 hours. Each of these can and frequently are doubled up for 16-24hrs of capacity (10kWh / 12kWh).
  • What is the cooling capacity of the Coolabah?
The Joey, Dingo and Koala have variable speed compressors and can adjust their output from 500W to 2.4 KW depending on the conditions / temperature. The Kookaburra has 3.2KW of cooling capacity.
  • What is the heating capacity of the Coolabah?
The Joey, Koala and Kookaburra have in-built heating. The Joey and Koala have 500 watts and the Kookaburra 750W of heating capacity. This should be more than enough to keep the sleeper cab warm during even the coldest Australian nights.
  • What maintenance is required to keep the unit working correctly?
The only maintenance required is cleaning of the air intake filter on the evaporator (annual recommended) and washing out the condenser every so often depending on the operating conditions. It is recommended that the unit is serviced once every 2 to 3 years.
  • How do you operate the unit?
The unit can be simply operated by pressing the ON button. It will automatically remember the last setting used. The easiest and most economical way to use the system is to simply have it set to AUTO mode.
  • At what temperature should I run the unit for maximum runtime?
For best runtime results, set the temperature to 22 or 23 degrees celsius. The unit can be set to a minimum of 18 degrees. You can also help it along by closing the curtains and making sure that the space you are trying to cool is a small as possible.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Error Code
Trouble Shooting

Er-01

Under voltage error

When the input voltage is below the low voltage cut-off point (21-23V) for more than 3 seconds, Er-01 will appear on the display. With this error, all outputs of the compressor, evaporator fan, fresh air device, condenser, and heating will stop automatically. All switches are locked except the ON/OFF switch, and the display shows an error code. Start the vehicle and check that the error disappears after running the vehicle for a period of time. This error is unrecoverable until the auxiliary battery voltage reaches a minimum of 24V.

Er-02

Overvoltage error

When the input voltage is above 31V for more than 3 seconds, Er-02 occurs. With this error, the AC system stops, and all outputs cease, displaying an error code. Please check the DC-DC charger and power supply circuit or contact our closest agent for an inspection or repair.

H/L

Interior temperature sensor error

The short circuit error is 'H,' and the open circuit error is 'L.' Please check if the sensor circuit is faulty. After detecting an error, the controller will automatically revert back to normal operating specifications. If this error occurs during the cooling mode, the compressor will wait for 5 minutes after every 60 minutes of operation. If this error occurs during the heating mode, the heating will wait for 5 minutes after every 30 minutes of output.

Er-16

Defrosting temperature sensor error

When the defrosting sensor is in a short circuit or open circuit, ER-16 occurs. Please check the sensor circuit or determine if the sensor is faulty. After resolving the error, the controller will automatically return to its normal working state. If this error occurs during cooling mode, the compressor will wait for several minutes after every 60 minutes of operation If this error occurs during heating mode, the heating output will not be affected.

Er-03

Refrigerant low-pressure error

When the controller detects that the refrigerant pressure in the system is below the set value, Er-03 occurs. Cooling stops automatically, and the error code is displayed on the screen. Please check the refrigerant pressure system and resolve this error. The controller will not resume normal operation until the pressure value has been restored for more than 3 seconds. Check for any refrigerant leaks in the system, repair them, and regas.
